After the storm...

This is my first post, so I'm not sure how I should start or what to say. I want to write down what I have gone through lately.
Well I can start with 2009. My father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The fourth leading cancer, I'm not sure if that is how you say it, it's called a silent killer. Many people can have it, but because their is no early detection exam that can tell you you have it and symptoms don't usually appear until the last stages, they are not aware of it. They said my father would not live a month, yet we were able to have him with us 8 months after that. My father was a truck driver with a passion. I say with a passion because driving his truck was something he loved. He always worked locally because he wanted to be close to family, which was something very important for him. Yet he had to give it up, because of his health. He had gone through various accidents as a driver, but every time he left for work he would always come back. We were all aware that because he was a truck driver there was a chance that he could one day not come back. I remember one time another truck driver hit him head on. Yet by the grace of God they both made it ok. Sadly a horrible illness took his life in early December of 09. Leaving behind a teenage boy, 6 young women, and a wife. We were all devastated. All we have now are pictures and memories that we will happily share to our children. We had never lost someone so close to us so it was extremely difficult to cope with the loss of our father. Then a few months after my father's passing, my mother hadn't been feeling well so she went to the doctor, and they found tumors in her uterus. Imagine our emotions. She was ordered a hysterectomy soon after. Stepping foot in a hospital again was so hard for us. Remember everything that we had, not too long ago, gone through. But we made it through.
Just when we thought things were turning around for us my dad's sister is diagnosed with CLL or Chronic Leukemia Lymphoma. Bringing us to a hospital again. They send her to Standford for further evaluation, shortly after she is required to go through chemotherapy. Bringing us once again to remember what he have gone through with my father. We want to be there for my aunt, but it is so hard. We find strength and faith in God, and we are there for her. Doctors say her condition is not curable but with treatment she can live a long life. In two weeks she will be on her last 6 month treatment. She is doing quite well at this point. All we can do is pray and hope for the best.
Since my father passed away, my dad's brother and sister have been in the hospital as well as my mother.
If it doesn't rain and pour from one side, there is thunder from another. At least that is how it has seemed for a while.
Fortunately, my sister came to us with news that she is engaged. To our surprise obviously. Although it's going to be very emotional because my father will not be able to walk her down the aisle, just like every girl dreams of, the time for smiles and joy has finally come. We will be celebrating next summer the union of her marriage. A new beginning. A new journey.
